- Use hashtags sparingly (3 max per tweet)
- Keep finding new profiles to follow
- Give credit when retweeting or sharing someone else’s content
- Respond to your followers
- Encourage discussion
- Give thanks or favorite posts when they are retweeted
- Be concise
- Make lists
- Use direct messages
- Use humor when appropriate
- Shorten links
- Add videos or images
- Always add value
- Ask for Retweets
- Use correct grammar, spelling and English
- Share regional news
Don’t
- Be negative
- Auto direct message
- Over-Automate
- Ignore those who follow or tweet about you
- Tweet about everything
- Engage in arguments
