To maximize engagement on Twitter it’s essential that you do two things.
One, always share an image with every tweet. And two, always share that image through Twitter’s built-in image sharer.
But, oh, if only it was that simple. Last year, Twitter added a preview pane for images shared through its photo sharer on the homepage feed – great for getting your stuff seen, but the preview pane automatically crops images to a confined 440×220 pixel space which can instantly botch the first impression of your beautiful picture.
So, to really make your images fly you need to take a few extra steps:
