What was the last thing you saw or posted on your social media profile? Chances are it was a video. Because one fourth of the world’s population now access online videos from their smart devices every day.

Brands are realizing that visual content, especially video is one of the most powerful ways to reach new audiences.

As a new infographic reveals, 8 billion views being clocked up on brand videos in 2013, i.e, an increase of 7000 percent from 2006.

The infographic also shows that over half of people aged between 25 – 54 shared these videos on social networking sites. And surprisingly, video content is reshared 12x more than text posts on Facebook.
